Ours is a small and caring comprehensive school in which your son or daughter will receive individual attention and a curriculum tailored to their needs.

Our declared vision is: “Every student will achieve more than they or their family felt possible”. We judge ourselves by exceeding your expectations of what your son or daughter can do, through “achieving academic and sporting excellence”.

As a creative partnership change school, we are at the forefront of offering exciting and innovative ways to work with artists, actors, writers and creative practitioners: for example, community art projects, dramatic productions and Ramsey Radio Station.

As a specialist sports college, we will ensure your son or daughter is encouraged to develop as a healthy adult with access to a wide range of sporting, extra-curricular and leadership opportunities.

Our curriculum focuses on the student at the centre and has offered everything from AS Mathematics, early subject entry and Triple Science, Maths Challenge for the most able; to work-based practical courses with direct access into further training for the more ‘hands-on’. Students are encouraged from Year 7 to 11 reflect on, and acquire a range of life skills. We believe the College seeks to educate the whole child for life, not just to acquire paper qualifications.

Results are rising year on year at the College as students feel increasingly self confident, motivated and ambitious. We expect when 2011 results are confirmed to have doubled student achievement in the last 5 years.

The College is a happy place in which student surveys show they feel safe and secure to learn. 96% of our current parents in our last parent survey felt happy with their child’s experience at the College. 98% felt the College was a safe environment to learn.

We are constantly updating and improving our students’ learning environment as the recent upgrade of our ICT faculties across the College, the outdoor canopy project, our upgraded changing rooms, gym and Resource Centre, show.
